Since 2018, Nick set out to continue to grow the business with a new focus on coordinated lessons, camps and clinics, and special events that help train players, challenge their life perspectives, and to make it fun for everyone!
Life Skills through hockey - This original concept was to bring life mentoring, advice, teaching, etc. into the world of hockey coaching and training. This symbolism reflects the ideology of light and dark, up and down, good and bad, the duality of us as people. We want to get the most out of our players in hockey and in life. We want them to understand hockey and sports can provide Valuable life skills.

Nick Battista - born and raised in Pittsburgh, nick has been coaching hockey for the the last 12 years.
Nick played in the area for local amateur and high school organizations before attending and playing hockey for California university of pa. He studied both sports management and psychology which have helped influence his overall coaching style.
Early in his coaching career, Nick had the opportunity to work as a volunteer counselor for the Penn State Summer Ice Hockey Camps which eventually grew into a yearly assistant coach position. Nick had the pleasure of learning from many different high level coaches and players and gained a wealth of advanced knowledge that influenced his overall style. coaching These camps helped with learning how to teach power skating & edgework, video breakdown and analysis, camp drills, off-ice training and plyometrics, and creating a fun and positive atmosphere.
MATT Bertani of MB HOCKEY has been the biggest positive influence on nick’s career. We believe Matt to be the gold standard of coaching and one of the most knowledgeable people around. be sure to check out his website and camps at https://www.hockeycoachescorner.com/
EXPERIENCE
POWER skating and edgework is a primary focus for coach nick. He spent the last 10 years gathering as much knowledge about skating as possible. Through the basic fundamentals to leaning into speed skating and kinesiology, he was able to understand the why of skating skills. The phrase of “you can’t skate, you can’t play” rings very true. There will always be a focus on skating in any on-ce session.
